The reporter learned from the Tianjin Investigation Corps of the National Bureau of Statistics that results of the latest sample survey showed that in the first quarter, consumption per capita of urban residents in Tianjin reached 7910 yuan, 7.8% up year-on-year. Among the "eight items" for urban resident consumption, only clothing consumption fell slightly, and the rest have increased in different degrees while the proportion of basic living consumption declined, growth slowed down and consumption level needed to be further enhanced.
Among them, in the first quarter, expenditure per capita on food and alcohol reached 2793 yuan, 682 yuan per capita on clothing, 386 yuan on daily necessities and services. The total consumption of the three accounted for 48.8% of the total expenditure, and as residents’rigid expenditure, the scale of expenditure increased but the proportion decreased by 2 percentage points compared to the same period last year with an overall growth of 3.5%. In the first quarter, growth of urban residential consumption slowed down, with per capita expenditure of 1589 yuan, 5.3% ip, accounting for 20.1% of total expenditure and ranking as the second only behind consumption of food and tobacco.(By Wang Ning)
