Since 2014, Tianjin Airport located its terminal in the Beijing South Railway Station. Since the start of air-rail transport services, Mr. Zhang who always takes international flights no longer has to drag the luggage in the morning rush hours in the capital Beijing to spend more than two hours to reach the Capital Airport. It is learned that over the years, Tianjin Airport has continuously strengthened the "air-ground, air-railway, air-sea, air-airi" and other multimodal transport construction. Now it has set up 20 urban remote terminals, and only the first half of this year it has received more than 60,000 passengers.

Since Binhai New Area was included into the national development strategy ten years ago, countless people from other provinces to work in Binhai New Area have personally experienced numerous surprises brought by the newly built traffic system. In particular, since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the construction of traffic facilities in Binhai New Area has been continuously strengthened, and the transportation network channel has been constructed. The three-dimensional traffic system has been established to promote the development and opening up of Binhai New Area and has laid a solid foundation for Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development and regional coordinated development.

Tianjin Port is to be built into a shining pearl of the "Belt and Road" Initiative.

"Cruise travel is very suitable for the elderly and children, who can always return to the rooms to rest, and it they are hungry there are food restaurants with 24-hour operation. These factors cannot be found in conventional land travel," said Ms. Wu from Beijing to take a cruise in Tianjin. In the first half of this year, Tianjin Port received 90 international cruise ships, with 407,000 passengers, respectively, 73.1% up and 102.4% up, both kicking record highs. The growth of international cruises received in Tianjin Port is only one of the highlights of the status of Tianjin Port as a hub.

Tianjin Port is an important strategic fulcrum of "Belt and Road" Initiative. Since the 18th National Congress of the CPC, Binhai New Area has put the port development and construction into the strategic position of economic development of Binhai New Area. In the adjustment and optimization of layout of Tianjin Port, it launched a management system reform on the Tianjin Port with "one port and eight areas", to enhance the function of international shipping service in  Dongjiang Bonded Port Area. It pays attention to division of labor with other ports in the Bohai Sea, advances resource integration in the Tianjin Port, and promotes the accelerated accumulation of shipping elements. It constantly upgrades collection and distribution system of the modern ports, improves the various modes of transport system, and strengthens the hub positions of ports and airports.

At present, Tianjin Port has become a world's artificial deep-water port with the highest level, and China's largest integrated port in the north. In 2016, cargo throughput of Tianjin Port exceeded 550 million tons, ranking the fourth in the world; container throughput reached more than 14.51 million TEUs, ranking the tenth in the world. At the same time, Tianjin Port is one of the most complete ports in China, with specialized berths such as containers, ores, coal, coke, crude oil, oil products, steel, large equipment, bulk grain, international cruise ships and so on. It has wide foreign and trade relations with more than 500 ports in more than 180 countries and regions in the world, and container liner routes are up to 120; it has strong internal radiation ability, with a hinterland area of nearly 5 million square kilometers, accounting for 52% of the total area of the country.

Tianjin Port has continuously strengthened and improved the service function. The established Tianjin International Trade and Shipping Service Center is the largest "one-stop" shipping service center in China. It has successfully implemented a "three one" customs clearance mode say declaration, inspection and release; therefore, the port customs clearance environment has been continuously optimized. It is to build the green channel of the sea logistics, and the feeder transit lines in the Bohai Sea has exceeded 650,000 TEUs, which further consolidates its status of a hub in the Bohai Sea region. It inland hinterland sets up five regional marketing centers and 25 "dry ports" to further improve the logistics network covering the hinterland of the inland. It is expected that by 2020, cargo throughput of Tianjin Port will reach 650 million tons, and the container throughput will reach 17 million TEUs.
