In recent days, Tianjin Port Shipping Administration signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Building Friendly Port Relations with Malaysia's Klang Port, and signed strategic framework cooperation agreements and letters of intent with China Merchants Group and Cangzhou Port Group to continuously expand the sea-to-land transport network. Overlooking Tianjin Port from the sky, eight port areas say Beijiang Port Area, Dongjiang Port Area, Nanjiang Port Area, Dagukou Port Area, Gaoshaling Port Area, Dagang Port Area, Haihe and Bestown Port Area are sparsely populated, forming a new comprehensive pattern to open to the outside world from north to south and from east to west.
Data show that from January to November this year, Tianjin Port completed sea-railway container transport of 330,000 TEUs, 12.4% up year-on-year; transit class traffic increased by 34.3%. It has completed 986,000 Ro-Ro vehicles, 31.7% up year-on-year, which is expected to exceed 1 million for the first time in history. Among the amount, it is expected to complete export of 137,000 vehicles, 144.9% up year-on-year, to create a good port environment for Chinese cars to go abroad.
As gas consumption for winter heating in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and other regions continues to increase, Tianjin Port LNG terminal pick-up volume also continues to increase. On December 4, total amount of natural gas output in Tianjin Port LNG amounted to 20.196 million tons, which is the first time for the daily output of the project to exceed 20 million square meters since its operation.
