Recently, the reporter learned from the Administrative Committee of Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city (the Eco-city for short) that the 2nd WorldIntelligence Congress UAV Competition will be held from May 17 to 19 in theSino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city. It has been determined that more than 40 top-level flyers are invited from both home and abroad to participate. It isclaimed that the Eco-city is currently building a professional UAV racing pavilion. According to the plan, the stadium is expected to be completed on April 19 and officially debuted in May.
The reporter arrived at the No. 5 Building of Binhong Entrepreneurship Parkin the Eco-city yesterday and saw that a curved and closed dynasty track has been erected. Workers are setting up a single “arch” to lay the foundation for UAVs to successfully pass through the game. According to the relevant person in charge of the event's preparatory team, the stadium covers an area of about 2,000 square meters, and is divided into two floors. The stadium will be permanently retained after the game, and used for UAVs, industrial robot testing and related events. Before the official competition, the organizers will also organize a UAV race to test the professionalism, practicality and safety of the track facilities.
The series activities of intelligent UAVs, as a new content of the 2ndWorld Intelligence Congress, have attracted much attention. The series ofevents includes the four parts, i.e., the Development Forum on World Intelligent UAV Industry, the Exhibition of World Intelligent UAV, the World Intelligent UAV Racing Tournament, and the World Intelligence UAV Carnival. The event will also invite experts from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics to develop UAVs with the industry insiders and experts.
