IoT Lab of Civil-military Integrated Innovation Institute passed assessment: Core technology delivers Voice of China

On May 6, the Laboratory of the Internet of Things of the Tianjin Binhai Civil-military Integrated Innovation Institute successfully passed the on-site review conducted by the team of China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS). This is the first accredited laboratory in the field of China's first awareness test in the field of military and local internet of things, and the first related testing laboratory for Internet of Things basedin Tianjin, filling the industry's gap in the absence of an accredited laboratory in the electronic information field in Binhai New Area. The reporter learned that since the settlement in Binhai New Area, the Division of Internet of Things has gradually established a pattern of independent IOT perception testing and certification center, engineering technology center, academician center, and industrialization company's Three Centers, One Enterprise to promote the autonomous and controllable information industry in Tianjin to befurther developed.

Three Points in One Line work has made new progress.

"Last year, we completed the key work of Three Points in One Line.Alongside the main line of building a domestic independent Internet of Things awareness ecosystem, we have built a domestic leading independent standard IOTperception testing and certification system, covering awareness, transmission and application of the IOT product system, which began to take shape. The integration and application of independent standard system products in various industries has also achieved initial results," said Li Runze, chief engineer of the Tianjin Binhai Civil-military Integrated Innovation Institute. After more than a year of preparatory construction, the Internet of Things Division has formed a domestic leading independent standard RFID testing and certification laboratory, equipment and chip-level electromagnetic compatibility testing and certification laboratory, which has laid a solid foundation for Tianjin to become a leader in the field of independent Internet of Things.

It is claimed that the Internet of things perception testing and certification center built by the Internet of Things Division is based on its own standards, can provide scientific, authoritative, and fair testing and certification services for the construction of China's Internet of Things, andcan standardize the development, production, access, and operation of sensing devices; the Engineering Technology Center is mainly responsible for the design and development of sensing devices such as electronic tags, readers and EMC testing circuits. The purpose of its establishment is to promote the speed of industrialization of excellent technologies. It is the only integrated production and research institute that integrates the basic scientific research on sensing standards for autonomous Internet of Things (IOT), research and development of key preparation technologies and engineering and industrialization technologies. The academician center headed by the academician Ouyang Xiaoping has devoted himself to the research and development of the application technology of the autonomous Internet of Things in the field of artificial intelligence, and is committed to innovation of the sharing technology of intelligent robots.

According to Li Runze, the current IOT business unit has formed a large-scale product system. Independent product categories cover hundreds of devices such as tag chips and reader-writer chips, and cover almost all key links under the entire Internet of Things framework. Relying on the existing product system and using the experience of large-scale information system integration accumulated during the construction of the entire military Internet of things, the Internet of Things Division has been able to create a complete autonomous Internet of Things ecosystem.

Key technology means core competitiveness.

"A small dining card, a public transportation card, a large unmanned supermarket, warehouse logistics, and a smart city all rely on the support of radio frequency identification technology," Li Runze explained that radio frequency identification technology utilizes radio frequency and can carry out real-time perception and recording, which can greatly save labor costs and improve work efficiency. "Since 2008, the core team of the business division has been committed to the technical research, equipment development and standard setting of radio frequency identification technology. At present, we can find our own technology in fields of elderly care, industrial automationand confidentiality."

It is claimed that the Internet of Things Division currently has a multi-discipline IoT sensing technology research and innovation team with integration of wireless communications, microelectronics, computers, information systems, and other subjects. It has achieved fruitful research results in key technologies for radio frequency identification, RFID chip development andradio frequency identification standards development, radio frequency identification system construction and other areas of IoT awareness.

When talking about the biggest bottleneck restricting the development of China's Internet of Things, Li Runze stated that since long ago international large enterprises and organizations have established their own standards based on their own interests, and then used this standard to Colonize China’s IoTmarket. This has caused a lot of drawbacks, mainly focusing on the lack of protection of information privacy and weaker influence on industry discourse rights. Therefore, the Internet of Things division of the Tianjin Binhai Civil-military Integrated Innovation Institute must do more than just make all things in the world Talk and Interconnect, and more importantly, we must establish and promote our own standards system so that the Mandarin in China can make objectsspeak and understand each other.

“We firstly define a set of languages for communication between objects, and establish a test and certification center to detect whether these languages are normative or enhance the normative. At the same time, we also need to give each object an electronic tag. This tag is the Vocal Cords that make them speak.” After years of accumulation, Li Runze has chaired and participated in the development of a set of national standards for the Internet of Things and successfully developed a label chip and a reader chip that meet the standards.

According to reports, in 2018, the Internet of Things Division will follow the path of building an autonomous and controllable Internet of Things awareness ecosystem in China, continue to enhance the exploration and research of chip performance and quality, and benchmark the international first-class chip level in terms of product performance and quality. The field of product distribution will further increase its strength and lead science and technology innovation to promote the development of China's autonomous Internet of Things industry.
