During this year's May 1 holiday, the supply of the consumer market in Tianjin Binhai New Area (TBNA for short) is sufficient and stable, and sales have maintained steady growth. On May 5, the reporter learned from the District Business and Investment Promotion Bureau that according to statistics, during the holiday season, the key commercial enterprises under monitoring in TBNA realized a sales income of 170 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.3%.
Rich activities in major businesses venues became a hit.
It is claimed that during the May 1 period this year, the major businesses in TBNA fully seized the favorable business opportunities and competed to hold a variety of festival promotions. For example, Binhai Wanda Plaza launched the Best Beauty Children's Music Festival, ballet art exhibition, parent-child balloon bombing, clown mobilization and other activities to attract people's attention; Jinyuanbao Commercial Building has the theme of May 1 Convergence, Paying tribute to Workers and marketing methods such as profit-making, full-cut promotion and lucky scraping drive consumption; AEON MALL held magical performances, acrobatic performances, and My Childhood I Come to Show children's art exhibitions and other exciting activities, attracting many tourists. The strong festive atmosphere has effectively stimulated the consumption of the vast number of residents in TBNA.
According to statistics, during the holiday season, Jinyuanbao Commercial Group achieved sales of 59.52 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.4%; New Yansha Outlets achieved sales of 21.6 million yuan, an increase of 46.4%; Wanda Plaza achieved sales of 14.8 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 32.5%; Friends A Outlet achieved sales of 7.493 million yuan, an increase of 58.3%; Dagang Happy Square achieved sales of 3 million yuan, an increase of 50%; Dagang Yingbin supermarket achieved sales of 6.76 million yuan, with a growth rate of 26.2%; China Resources Wanjia Bund Store achieved sales of 2.09 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.9%.
"We have been in trial operation for nearly two years and now have more than 200 merchants, which have become hot spots and concentration points for regional consumption. During the May 1 period this year, through various activities, here has become a hit and the accumulated traffic for four days is about 200,000 people," Li Haoran, Manager of SM Plaza Mall, said.
Adequate supply of essentials with stable prices
It is claimed that during the May 1 period this year, the market for daily necessities in TBNA is adequately supplied and the price is stable. For example, Jinyuanbao agricultural product wholesale market achieved sales of 48.65 million yuan, an increase of 3.5%; vegetable sales of 2.64 million kilograms, and pork sales of about 17,500 kilograms.
In terms of price, the prices of vegetables have risen and fallen. Among the 37 kinds of vegetables that have been monitored by price, the prices of 17 kinds of vegetables have risen slightly. For example, the price of cowpeas has increased by 66% compared with that before the holiday. The price of ginger has increased by 42% compared with that before the holiday. The price rose 13% from the pre-holiday; the price of 10 kinds of vegetables fell, such as the price of broccoli decreased by 27% compared with that before the holiday; the price of green pepper decreased by 24% compared with that before the holiday, and the price of melon decreased by 12% compared with that before the holiday.
According to the relevant person in charge of the District Business and Investment Promotion Bureau, in the next, the district business and investment promotion bureau will focus on safeguarding business and people's livelihood, further strengthen monitoring and active service for key commercial enterprises and daily necessities markets, and continuously improve the commercial service level of TBNA to meet the growing consumer demand of the people.
